I am using quark 6.5 for PC in English and need to cut and paste some greek text from a word document into Quark. When i do i lose all the greek fonts and get lots of ????? and boxes. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

Try using the "Get Text" funtion. Formatting works better this way. It just sucks if the text has to go into multiple text boxes.
If that's the case, I suggest making a new document with a large text box and then import the text. Then copy and paste the text into your working file. This has worked for me in the past - good luck.

Do you have those Greek fonts loaded on your PC? You need the fonts that created the word document.

this is just a shot in the dark, but if you had illustrator, you could try pasting it into illy and creating outlines, then importing it into Quark as a .eps....but if you don't have the actual font, im doubting that this will work....

We have had a problem with the Greek font corrupting when pdf'ing in Quark 6.5. However the problem is not consistent, sometime, it works OK, sometimes not. Apparently this is aknown problem that will be corrected in Quark 7.
