Some of you may know my g/f is travelling in new zealand. She's been there for 3 months...I was going to go visit her in July. We get a week company holiday off in the 2nd last week of july, so i figured since the travel time was 22 hours one way, I'd need 2 weeks. So I tried to ask my boss for the week before off as well, and he $hit canned the idea. I'm not sure why since he gave no reason...but I imagine is has something to do with the fact that I am the only one here capable of running every aspect of this print shop in digital terms...and me being away for a week somehow threatens his operations. This isn't true....but I've learned something about him today.

Magnus is now thinking about his options...Not too many times Magnus doesn't get what Magnus wants http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/violent.gif

The crap thing too, is that july (Well, pretty much spring to late summer) is our slow time. Hence the week off.

Magnus,

My friend, my brother, time to loo elsewhere. what you have told me says to me that you are allowed no vacation time. that is not right. No company should rely on one person no matter how good or bad they are. It's just not practical. I don't see how he can deny you a vacation when you have put in your time and have it coming to you. that speaks VOLUMES to me.

Move to Orlando and we will start up '***** OFF Ad Agency'

You have a good point. One which I am not going to just consider, but execute. It is time I moved on.

start planning your new job around your extended vacation down under...

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In
practice, there is.

Hey can I join the '***** Off Ad Agency' guys?? I too am one of those that can't get a vacation unless the wntire phukn place closes!

Magnus...I think it sucks that you can't get that extra week off. I am with Joe 10% when he tells you its time to move on. You have EARNED the vacation time damnit and its just NOT right. I mean EVERYONE else gets their vacation...right? UGH!

D-zine knows this story, but I thought I'd be nice and fill everyone else in. This past tuesday night i was at the grocery store, buying some stuff. I was in teh bakery buying some sandwhich buns, and I was sort of standing by the one bakeshop girl...who was sweeping some stuff up. Lo and behold, the one guy i work with is there, and makes the comment 'If he asks you where the freshest buns are in the store, just slap him.' So that started up a conversation with me and this girl, who kind of looked cute but it was hard to tell in her white hat and uniform. I had to leave, and as I was walking away after asking about the weather in which I replied it's hot if you know what you're doing (she giggled)...she said 'I hope you enjoy your buns!'

Now this girl was definately flirting...

Today at work after my boss's dickhead response...the BAKESHOP girl came in! To have her prom tickets printed off here....except she was wearing regular clothes...jeans, tank top with a short sleeved shirt open over top....long, wavy blonde hair, amazing, and i mean AMAZING firm breasts...probably an easy B cup, maybe a C. An ass you'd drop a glass of your favorite beer over.

So she was surprised, as was I when she came in. So after talking business...I said 'So who shall I be calling about the tickets', to which she naturally replied 'Well, I guess that'd be me. So I wrote her number and name (Alison) down...as she was leaving, she said 'If you need more buns, I'll be working tonight'.

Good god damn. I'm going to stop in there to see what it's about....hehehehe. Can't hurt.

Ha!

Well, that girl, Allison came in today. Seems something made her not so flirty....she also came in with a male escort...some young pup. I guess she was probably taken back by my age...

Do you think she was intimidated or what?

Exactly. I think though it was a case of one of those eels that uses one of it's antenna like body parts to lure fish into attack range. She saw a glimpse of the alpha male and pissed her pants. But at least she said I was cute and I made her blush many times. I win.
