Morning all,

I need to put 30 second clips into a flash movie (streamed) with stop/start bottons (which I can do). I understand MP3 is a good format to use but how does one convert music from a cd into compressed, Flash friendly MP3 format? Is there any freeware software for MAC available?

When you import music into ITunes it converts to MP3. Can I use these?

Your help, as always, is appreciated.

Steve

Assuming you mean streaming the audio 'internally' rather than 'externally': Flash will compress the audio for you. You just need to rip the CD into a file format that Flash will be able to import (you can check this out by going to file > import, and look at the file extensions it supports).

Then, for best streaming compression, you need to check this out: http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/publishexport/stream_optimize/stream_optimize10.html
