FX's "30 Days"

This is the same guy who did an independent film on eating fast food for 30 days. But now he has taken this further. He is basically walking in someone else's shoes for 30 days to get a life changing different perspective.

Tonight's show is a couple living on minimum wage for 30 days.

Another show will be living as a Muslim for 30 days.

and so on...

I hope you guys give this a look. Much more worthwhile than watching people eat bugs and drink vile mixtures guaranteed to make anyone vomit.

I'm muslim. I hate when people think I am caucasian! Damn it, I am a bloody arab, sheesh! *shutsup now*

Whats the name, and what are the show times?

Its on FX and called "30 Days". It will be reshown several days this week and then next Wednesday a new one. It is the first real reality show I have seen that isn't a gimmick. They immerse into another reality for 30 days.

I know future shows will deal with life as a college student, life as a gay person, life as a Muslim in Christian America and so on.

I think this is a real eye-opener and gutsy.

Here's a link for more info:

I was impressed.

thanks for the heads up, vikia. i avoid tv, so i'll have to watch out for that in the listings.

sailedship - this is the internet. if anyone assume's you are anything that you don't expressly tell them, they are fools. personally, i'm disappointed that you aren't a schooner of some sort.

It's funny you said something, because I just watched that show for the first time tonight (poverty one), and it's awesome. Really makes you think. I thinks I need to go to bed at the moment. I'll chime in tomorrow if I have time.

I wasn't speaking of the internet, I was talking about in real life. God, how can anyone assume what you are online? And no, I am not a boat, thank you very much.:D

Ahhh... the wonderful Scooner....

Boston Pizza has a weekly special on those. It's a GREAT BIG beer mug FULL of Draft beer... takes me forever to finish it, costs $8 CDN and is warm by the time you get to the end... but... still wonderful!!!

Unc, I usually avoid tv too, the recent influx of reality shows turn me off. So imagine my surprise to find something in that genre that I was truly interested in.

neuro and I saw a neat "reality" show the other night... it's called "Hell's Kitchen" and is about choosing the next great chef for this restaurant. Pretty neat!

They say that the "host" (who is the head chef) actually makes Simon Cowell look tame.

Hell's Kitchen is pretty good and I don't watch reality shows at all. The Main Chef is ruthless. Total confusion in the kitchen. This Chef gets a bit violent too.

Kink- someone needs to teach you how to drink if your Schooner is warm by the time you are done. Either that, or maybe it is warmer there...

canada's schooner. boat and beer in one. turn it on it's side (you or the bottle, it doesn't matter) and you get an armadillo.
