I recently took some Pictures with my Canon Digital Rebel camera and save the images in the 'raw' file format. When I opened them with Photoshop Ver 2, all I got was a 'grey plack image.
I used the 'file >open as' method. What did I do wrong, or what do I have to do so I can further process this Image? Can someone help me. I am new to Photoshop and I could not fine anything in the help menu.

You need to get the RAW plugin from Adobe, go to support, downloads, 'new' then you can open and manipulate the RAW files (i have a Digital Rebel EOS as well). I don;t know if version 2 of photoshoop supports the plugin though. YOu can use the canon software i believe and covert them from raw to other formats. I use XP to save the images out of the camera and then do work in PS7 or CS.

Looks like you will need to upgrade from 20 to CS to use the Adobe RAW plugin, i think the upgrade is like 269.00 much less than the full version.
