That is really cool. It like goes from space to northern lights to desert. The orb with the tree throws it off though. Too bad you don't have it at 1024 x 768.

thxn guys :D
about the tree... it has a little story, it happens that part of our network is on a server called 'Okkernoot', wich means 'Wallnut tree' , and that's why i put a black okkernoot there. It's true it doesnt have much to do with the rest but ah well, im learning stil :)

Propan0,

You used vue de'espirt (sp?) eh? It looks okay but I'm not getting your theme from the visual. Its too perfect, as is the problem with most 3d scenes. You can ad some noise or other adjustments to make it more believable. How about some fog to represent the unknown? ( Particles are your friend...LOL )

cheers for your feedback Bill,
I used bryce 5 for this, nothing else. I am very new to the 3d design world, and stil consider myself a starter in 2d. I enjoy it very much nevertheless, eventhough it's not puting any food on my plate so to speak. I have yet to be introduced to those particles you speak about axoi, but it sounds like the way to go ... thanks!

Also, I have a querry... do you 3d ppl use other programs for after the rendering (filters or such)? Just wondering wich way to go, thanks again guys I realy appreciate your feedback!! :respect:

Most people usually say they do the rendering in a 3D program and then use Photoshop to change lighting and other stuff.

i disagree. bryce is the crappiest, cookie-cutter-ish program to use. if you're wanting to learn anything at all as far as designing in 3D, i'd ditch bryce ASAP and start learning max or maya. granted, it's a bit harder because there are no 'mountain generators' to use, but hey, you want to design something, it means coming up with it all by yourself.

i'm starting to get sick of seeing the same stupid PANCAKEing scene in bryce, just with a different sky, or different watertones, and having someone call it their own art. hello??? it's been done already. think of something else. and hence...the limitations of bryce. you can't do these great things with it like you'd want, and all you keep coming up with is crappy landscapes.

seriously, ditch the bryce and get a real program.

yeah, but i def wouldn't consider 3dsmax or Maya 'beginner' software.

chill xosteve, i am just starting man, I never said this was art LOL
Truth is my pc shivers everytime I start 3dsmax or maya. It's too slow and old for it I think. I totaly agree with you, bryce is a program for noobs. I never claimed to be anything else. I do think bryce is very limited. BUt then again, so I'm I stil so i guess its ok if i use it. I will deffinetly move to more serious things when I get a decent pc. HOpefuly anyway.
Either way thnx for kickin my ass all over, it motivates me. Or something :/

Yep, Maya and 3ds Max are intimidating. I haven't found many good tutorials for them either... Of course I haven't really looked...
