Happy Friday everybody!

Neuro and I will be leaving today at noon - we have a 6 hour drive ahead of us to go to visit with Neuro's brother, who is back in the States after serving a year in Bahrain with the Coast Guard.

6 hours is a heck of a drive, but we'll be staying near the beach! We're hoping that this will give us a chance to catch up on some MUCH needed R&R.

Fortunately, I have an excellent cat-sitter to stay with my babies while we're gone.

We will probably be incommunicado for most of the weekend, but we should be returning on Monday afternoon, with bunches of pictures.

And hopefully I won't suffer TOO much from GDF withdrawal! Have a great weekend, folks!

Made it through another week. Hallelujah! My fiancee and I are going to finalize plans with the priest who is marrying us so that will be one less thing to worry about. Big show on Sat. with the new cover band. Hopefully we'll get some dollar$ in our pockets. Then some Father's Day shenangians.

Yay for Friday! It feels like this week lasted forever even though I didn't work on Monday or Tuesday. :P I'm going down to Indy again this weekend to hang out. Probably see Batman and get some Uno's pizza.... mmmmmmmmm...... Oh and take over my parents hot tub. :)

I got married last year at this time June 19 to be exact. This is our 1 year anniversary this weekend. I remember going though all that stuff, talking to priests, dj's, halls, flower shops, it such a headache. But when the wedding day finally comes just relax and soak everything in. Be sure to step back and really take a look at what's going on because if you stay stressed the whole time, it's gonna go by like a blur. I took that advice myself from another friend and I had a blast at my reception. I was doing my michael jackson dance impression before I even had a sip of alcohol. I was high on life. I hope you enjoy your day too. :)

LOL - "Wedding Identity". So true. The hotel where our reception is uses ecru stationary and Edwardian Script so we based our invites around that. We lucked out and found some really amazing invites at Staples on a clearance shelf. Thanks Keith for the words of wisdom. Everyone has been telling us to really revel in the day and we definitely plan on doing so. We've been planning this since March 04 so we're ready to party!

Not going to be TOO eventful of a weekend, but it is the final weekend that I have to spend where I wake up to Krap Kopy on a Monday. My fencing instructor and I are having breakfast and discussing some business with the fencing classes, then perhaps we might go see Batman.

Anyway, it's NEXT weekend that I'm looking forward to, I have my work shirt and lighter fluid ready for effigy ;)

I missed the Friday celebration...I had the day off due to office renovations. So I took the opportunity to go in to prospective new job to freelance for a day and test it out. Don't think I'm going to accept, though if I get offered a position. The atmosphere is just not what I'm looking for. The pay will be around the same, but I'll be starting all over again in terms of seniorirty, benefits and acrrued vacation time. It was nice, though, to see another office and take it all in.

It's where I work, and I've worked there since my Freshman year of college (five years ago). I've had quite a few old posts about it in the past so those who have read them will know where I'm coming from, but I guest newer users since then won't get the reference. In short, the job sucks big time, and there are so many things that irritate me about it that rather posting further I can just post a link there in conjunction with negative connations. What grates me the most is that I am with a Bachelor's and an Associates and I'm making only $9 an hour there (that's after a promotion, it was $7.50 until November) and my bosses, who are my age or slightly older, bring new meaning to "DUMB" that it makes me wonder why I'm here and they are up there making four times as much; at least in a low-level graphics job I can make $9, if not a little more, and get experience towards a career. I feel like I'm not getting anywhere right now, which is a large source of my current frustration with job hunting.

If anybody can avoid shopping there (and Walmart & K-Mart, just out of principle) I highly recommend you do so. It's energy draining, and there is not enough patience in the world to deal with the everyday shopper there, especially after a day like today when people are mad at me because they forgot to get something for father's day, and it's my fault. You get to see some of the worst traits of people on the frontlines.

That and the site for complaining about that place (http://www.target-sucks.com) is down, so I haven't been able to vent lately!
