i am having problems importing SVG files into flash. Here's what i am doing:

1. creating illustration in Corel Draw 12 using RGB only
2. grouping the elements of the illustration i want to export
3. selecting export and ticking the selected only box
4. These are the export settings i'm using:

Unicode UTF 8 encoding
Internal style sheet
170 fountain steps
No scaling
(no text)

I have the educational edition of Flash MX 2004 (ver. 7.2) and i am trying to import the svg into the stage. Flash says: Flash does not recognise format
name.svg.
I am sure i have done this before using the same procedure, and the svg file looks fine in a browser. Can anyone suggest somthing? Or is it because i am using the educational edition? If so is there a plugin or patch to allow svg imports?

Why don't you use Corel's SWF export and Import to the Library instead? Just curious why you're going through the SVG route.

By the way, if you export to SWF all CMYK gets converted to RGB automatically.

i have no idea why i went SVG (mmmm, xml driven graphics). i think its because i'm in love with it at the moment! (almost as much as i love corels scroll wheel zoom)
i didn't even realise corel had a swf export filter, cheers again broacher you're a champion.
