Some facts:

Myth: Alcohol destroys brain cells.

Fact: The moderate consumption of alcohol does not destroy brain cells. In fact it is often associated with improved cognitive (mental) functioning.


Myth: Drinking coffee will help a drunk person sober up.

Fact: Only time can sober up a person...not black coffee, cold showers, exercise, or any other common "cures." Alcohol leaves the body of virtually everyone at a constant rate of about .015 percent of blood alcohol content (BAC) per hour. Thus, a person with a BAC of .015 would be completely sober in an hour while a person with a BAC of ten times that (.15) would require 10 hours to become completely sober. This is true regardless of sex, age, weight, and similar factors

White Russian

1 1/2 oz Vodka
2 oz Coffee Liqueur
Milk or Cream
Ice

Pour coffee liqueur and vodka into a glass 1/2 filled with ice cubes and fill with milk or cream.

Banana Daiquiri

1 1/2 oz Light Rum
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 1/2 oz Lime Juice
1 tsp Powdered Sugar
1 Medium Banana, pealed
1 Cup ice

Blend until smooth

Mimosa

6 oz. Brut Champagne
3 oz. fresh Orange Juice

Chill orange juice and champagne and mix together in a chilled wine goblet to individual taste. Add ice if needed.

Grasshopper

3/4 oz Green Creme de Menthe
3/4 oz white Creme de Cacao
3/4 oz Light cream

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

Buttery Nipple

1/2 shot Butterscotch schnapps
1/2 shot Bailey's irish cream

The Butterscotch Schnapps makes up the bottom layer. The top layer of Baileys should be added using a spoon. This is a layered shot.

Chocolate Toasted Almond

1 shot Kahlua (or any coffee liquour)
1 shot Amaretto
8 oz Milk (or milk & half-and-half)
2 tblsp Chocolate syrup
Ice

Mix all together, serve in a Collins glass over ice.

Long Island Iced Tea

1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Coca-Cola®

Mix ingredients together over ice in a glass. Pour into a shaker and give one brisk shake. Pour back into the glass and make sure there is a touch of fizz at the top. Garnish with lemon.

Tom Collins recipe

2 oz gin
1 oz lemon juice
1 tsp superfine sugar
3 oz club soda
1 maraschino cherry
1 slice orange

In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar. Shake well. Strain into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda. Stir and garnish with the cherry and the orange slice.

Martini : Dry

1- 2/3 oz Gin
1/3 oz Dry Vermouth
Ice

Stir gin and vermouth with ice cubes in a mixing glass. Strain into a glass. Serve with an olive.

Red Headed Slut recipe

1 oz peach schnapps
1 oz Jagermeister® herbal liqueur
cranberry juice

Chill and serve.

Irish Car Bomb

3/4 pint Guinness® stout
1/2 shot Bailey's® Irish cream
1/2 shot Jameson® Irish whiskey

Add the Bailey's and Jameson to a shot glass, layering the Bailey's on the bottom. Pour the Guinness into a pint glass or beer mug 3/4 of the way full and let settle. Drop the shot glass into the Guinness and chug. If you don't drink it fast enough it will curdle and increasingly taste worse.

Jager Bomb

1 can Red Bull® energy drink
1 oz Jagermeister® herbal liqueur

Pour red bull into a pint glass. Drop in a shot glass filled with jagermeister, and chug.

1 1/2 oz Vodka
1 1/2 oz Peach schnapps
1/2 glass Orange juice
1/2 glass Cranberry juice

2 oz Spiced rum (Captain Morgan's)

1 - 40oz of St. Ides Malt Liquor
1 - cup Orange Juice

Drink the 40oz down to the bottom of the neck, fill up with orange juice. Enjoy!!

2 oz Spiced rum (Captain Morgan's)
10 oz Apple cider

This is really good served hot too, especially if you throw in some cinnamon schnapps.

Good stuff to have when tailgating at those cold, late-fall football games. ;)

1.0 oz Apple Schnapps
1.0 oz Cranberry juice
1.0 Splash Lime
1.0 oz Peach Schnapps

1.0 cl Banana Liqueur
1.0 Orange juice
2.0 cl Vodka

Pour the vodka and creme over some ice cubes in a tall glass and fill up with juice. to make it beuty full make the top of the glass with a grenadine and sugar.

0.5 oz Amaretto
1.0 oz Cream
0.5 oz White Creme de Cacao
0.5 oz Triple sec
0.5 oz Vodka

Fill a shaker half full with ice cubes. Pour all ingredients into shaker and shake well. Strain drink into a Cocktail glass.

Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster

1.0 oz. Peach Schnapps
1.0 oz. Strawberry schnapps
1.0 oz. Sparkling White Wine

Serve in a champagne glass.

Desert Sunrise Recipe

1.0 dash Grenadine
3.0 cubes crushed Ice
1.5 oz. Orange juice
1.5 oz. Pineapple Juice
1.25 oz. Vodka

Pour all ingredients into a collins glass almost filled with crushed ice. Top with grenadine, and serve.

Hot Buttered Rum

1 tsp Brown sugar
Boiling Water
1 tbsp Butter
2 oz Dark Rum

Pour sugar into cup and fill 2/3 full with boiling water. Add butter and rum. Stir and sprinkle nutmeg over the top.

1. Sailor Jerry's Orignal Rum
2. Wild Cherry Cola
3. Lime
4. Ice

Mix ingredients together, drink.

1. One Nalgene Bottle
2. Quart of Southern Comfort
3. Fruit punch Gatorade
4. Ice

FIll Nalgene 1/3 of the way up with ice, pour in Southern Comfort till about a little over half way full, add Gatorade. Now go for a long walk.

Gin Mojito

1. Hendrix Gin
2. Tonic
3. Cucumber
4. Mint leaves
5. Sugar water
6. Ice

Crush Cucumber in the bottom of a rocks glass along with mint leaves. And Ice and sugar water, stir. Add Gin, top of with tonic and serve with cucumber slice.

After Dark

1 part Kahlua
1 part Bailey's irish cream
1 part Licor 43

Layer, in order.

Alabama Slammer

1 oz Southern Comfort
1 oz Amaretto
1/2 oz Sloe gin
1 dash Lemon juice

Pour all ingredients (except for lemon juice) over ice in a highball glass. Stir, add a dash of lemon juice, and serve.

May also be served without ice in a shot glass.

1/2 oz Amaretto
1/2 oz white Creme de Cacao
2 oz Light cream

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

Pina Colada

3 oz Light rum
3 tblsp Coconut milk
3 tblsp Pineapple, Crushed

Put all ingredients into an electric blender with 2 cups of crushed ice. Blend at a high speed for a short length of time. Strain into a collins glass and serve with a straw.

Pink Pussycat

2 oz Gin
4 oz Pineapple juice
1 tsp Cherry brandy

In an old-fashioned glass almost filled with ice cubes, combine the gin and pineapple juice. Stir well. Drop the cherry brandy into the center of the drink.

Liquid Ecstasy

* 30 ml Bacardi Limon
* 15 ml Midori melon liqueur
* 15 ml Blue Curacao
* 15 ml Lemon juice
* 90 ml Pineapple juice

Mixing instructions:

Build Bacardi, Midori, Blue Curacao, Lemon Juice and Pineapple Juice in that order over ice in a highball glass. Alternativly ingreadiants can also be placed in a shaker and shaken and strained into a martini glass. Add a slice of lemon to the highball glass or add a slice to the rim of the martini glass, add two straws and serve...

2 oz Vodka
2 oz Kahlua
2 oz Bailey's irish cream
6 oz Vanilla ice-cream

Blend alcohol with ice-cream. Serve in frosted glass.

6 oz frozen Limeade concentrate
6 oz frozen Lemonade concentrate
6 oz Peach schnapps
6 oz Bacardi 151 proof rum

Mix all ingredients in blender with ice, to the consistency of a margarita.

Texas Rose

1 jigger Rum
2 jiggers Orange juice
1 jigger Creme de Banane
1 jigger Pineapple juice

Mix all ingredients and pour over ice

Tropical Sunrise

Crushed Ice
2 shots Spiced rum
1 shot Triple sec
2 shots Orange juice
2 shots Pineapple juice
1/2 shot Grenadine
1 Cherry

Half fill glass with crushed ice. Add rum, triple sec, orange juice, and pineapple juice. Stir. Add Grenadine and top with cherry and other fruit.

Dirty Banana

1 oz Creme de Banane
1 oz Creme de Cacao
1 oz Kahlua
2 scoops Vanilla ice-cream
6 cubes Ice

blend ice and ice-cream in the blender until smooth. add liquers and continue blending until smooth. if needed add more ice-cream to acheive milk shake type consistency.

Black Cow

2 scoops Vanilla ice-cream
10 oz Root beer
1 tblsp Chocolate syrup
Whipped cream
Maraschino cherry

Pour root beer over ice cream and chocolate syrup in a large tumbler glass. Garnish with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. Serve with a straw and a long spoon.

8 oz Malibu rum
4 oz Midori melon liqueur
4 oz Blue Curacao
1 splash Sweet and sour
1 splash Sprite

Pour into an ice filled hurricane glass.

1 oz Vodka

1 oz Lime juice

Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into an old-fashioned glass over ice cubes, and serve

1 oz Malibu rum
1 oz Kahlua
1 oz Butterscotch schnapps
2 oz Milk

Pour ingredients over ice and stir.

3/4 oz Raspberry liqueur
3/4 oz Blue Curacao
Champagne
Orange peel

Pour liqueurs into a champagne flute. Fill with ice-cold champagne. Twist orange peel over drink.

i love grasshoppers sooooooooooo much! i had a cocktail party for my 18th and must have consumed 5 of the bastards (along with a few long islands and Harvey Wallbangers, brandy sours and mystery random cocktails).
I have to say the last thing i remember is skulling a long island. I dont remember all the girls getting naked. Damn! i'll post pics later!

Anyway: My variation is to crush the ice before shaking and serve with the ice, kinda like a slushie.
