Is the end in sight?
After seeing about a half-dozen other houses since my Special Soapbox Edition post, my fiancee and I saw a really great house last night.
Highlights: Stained glass windows, huge bedrooms, large house (1400 sq. ft), nice yard, super close to work (6 mins), and a corner lot.
The house needs some updating but we really felt it was worth the full asking price so that's what we bid. There is another bid on the house.
I can't express how crazy this whole process has been given current market conditions. I just want this whole ordeal to end so my fiancee and I can start the next chapter of our lives in a nice house of our own.
So please, think good thoughts today as we should hear back by 4 p.m. Until then, I will be at the GDF lounge numbing my stress with some Gentleman Jack.

That'd be cool as hell, 6 minutes from work. (***beaming good thoughts towards G-Man***)

Ya man, being close to work is worth it's wait in gold, if you know distance had weight. I guess it would be negative distance that was valuable...
Anyways I bet getting to avoid the daily commute would have super emotional benefits and think about it, you'd have that much more time to actually live your life, everyday.

OHH. House HUNTING...I read House HAUNTING. That would be MY story!!
Well, congrats you happy new homeowner. Here in eastern Washington, everything is 10 minutes away, so I feel the pain of having to spend half the day on the road in traffic. Gotta make it to NY tho, I'd love to see the east coast.
Now about this HAUNTED house I live in.......

Thanks Rick. I lived across from a haunted house when I was young. An electric candle would turn on and off throughout the night and the house had been abandoned for close to a decade. Talk about nightmares!

Congratulations, G-Man!!! We just moved into our new house about a month and a half ago. We are still planting trees, bushes and I have to dig the hole for the fish pond and waterfall this weekend...but it is a great feeling!
Have fun fixing everything the way you want it!!
