This week I decided to buy a car. Each credit lender I have called at some point or another changes their tune, changes the rate which they promised me and then tries to convince me that I am wrong.

I had to rma one of my drives15 days ago. I figuire it should have gotten here by now, I call them up and the rma guy on the phone gave me the wrong title to place in the "To:" section of my fax cover sheet. Instead of RMA Dept he told me Proof of Purchase. So the RMA people pretend to be retarded and ditch my fax because even though they are the rma dept and that is their fax line and the fax's subect line which was also "proof of purchase" was correct they simply disregarded it. So I dealt with one yutz on the phone, a ding bat in the the fax room and today the rep on the phone tells me she is going to be nice and finish processing this (warranty ended today) and that i should be greatful because she doesnt have to honor my rma because i bought it one year ago today. Duh, if the had my credit card, my proof of purchase (which i had to refax) and my case number well duuuuuh ofcourse your going to honor my warranty.

I dont know why but every one i talk to is rude, and incompetent. Fudge!!!!! I try to get personal stuff like these things done at work because conventional business dont maintain open after 6 and my boss typically makes me work thru my lunch. But it really gets annoying when you have to call companies 2 and 3 times. And then fight to talk to supervisors, and just when u think your on the phone with a supervisor your not, so then i have to explain the story to another fool and waste more of my time and then i have to call and follow up to make sure those people are doing their jobs. What the hell is wrong with the world.

Okay ....... i think thats enough venting for me today.

One of the responsibilities I have here is to answer the phones. At least until my boss breaks down and hires a receptionist.

I like to think that I know what the heck I'm talking about. Our printers and the companies we advertise with love it, because I can "talk shop" with them. Of course, when people call with questions about our large-scale machinery, I am clueless. But at least I'm not rude. ;)

RMA: Short for returned materials (or merchandise) authorization.

Basically, when u return hardware to the manufacturer and they send u a new item to replace the broken one. So when a peice of hardware is in the process of being replaced under warranty, its being rma'd.

I dunno I guess its just kinda stressfull when customer service people on the phone (who's primary function is to serve/help you over the phone) seem to give you all of the wrong information and then it takes several more calls and wasted time to fix.
Thats all

^ my bank did that to me once. It was frustrating, but the main problem was that the people were very rude. I don't get so upset if they actually listen to me and try to help.
