Well, they do pay me. That usually helps make any job at least tolerable.
My job doesn't involve getting shot at, which is a plus. Also, unlike working in any medical field, people's lives don't usually hang in the balance depending upon the decisions that I make; if I set something in the wrong font, nobody will suffer any ill effects from it.

After a long hiatus, the Future has returned....
One reason I like my job....well I have 2 jobs and more than one reason so let me proceed to make everyone jealous...
show up when I want
all the food when its someone's birthday
2 hour lunch breaks
when its slow, browsing the net
listening to sports talk radio all day
2 huge windows by my desk
4 weeks paid vacation i'm trying to use this year
all the free Cardinals Baseball tickets given to me
and a pretty nice salary to boot

I'm an intern, but I get treated (mostly) like a regular employee. I.E. real projects not just grunt work. Plus, since I'm not an actually employee I don't have to go to the department meetings. :)

Oh man,
I run my own 5 people design shop. It dosent get any better than that. We sleep whenever we want, wake up whenever we want and do whatever we want as long as the work gets done on time.
We also arent shy to tell each other if their design just flat out sucks. Being that close to one another makes it much easier.

Self employed, I can have music or tv on if i want, gourmet coffee is a wonderful thing, my dog is at my feet keeping me company.
But recently started a job with a small printing company (FAConline.com), only been there for 3 days so we'll see. They have all of the latest software and they gave me the newest-fastest G5 to work on.
So far I like the 2 other designers immensely. They work well together and have a loose communication style that sets a laid back atmosphere. The only time they get tense is when the salespeople visit to push their jobs ahead. That is understandable.
