Since I do all the advertising for the ATV company I work for, I also end up dealing with a lot of forums (advertising on them, answering questions about product, etc). Do any of you do similar work?
I ask because I'm about ready to start pulling my hair out. I swear 90% of forums are moderated by 12 year olds with ADD. Yesterday, I advertised (in a forum we sponsor on another site named after the company I work for) that we finally received new shirts that several of the guys there had been waiting for.
I woke up this morning to find the post gone. Deleted by a moderator. Not the owner of the site, just one of his lackeys. So, I send a polite email telling the owner of the site that if this happens again, I will be pulling ALL support and advertising moneys from his site. I also recommended that he reprimand some of his over-anxious moderators.
I wouldn't be so insanely frustrated if this wasn't the fifth or sixth time this has happened to me in the past year (though never on the same site).
Does anyone else have to deal with advertising on site forums? I swear, those people are worse than freelance customers. Well, they're dumber, at least.
Wheewwww... End rant. Sorry, this was not the way I wanted to start a morning.
