I need to create a section a page on a web site that is a online form. It's basically to make reservations and provide information to a restaurant on the party making it (# of people, etc.)
I don't have much experience with backend programming. Is there an easier way around this, possibly a program out there? And what kind of requirements will be needed for the server hosting this site (asp, php compatible?) Thanks.

For the price of any software that will 'try' and create a form for you, you're better off paying a programmer to write something to your specific needs.
Questions that will need answered, regardless of how you decide to go about getting the form built:
1. What language do you/programmer/software want to write the form in (this will dictate what technologies your hosting provider must support ... php and mySQL will likely be your cheapest option all around, both in terms of hosting and paying for the script to be written by programmer). Else you can decide on a hosting provider, and then, develop your form in a language that your hosting provider supports (again, php and MySQL will be offered by almost any hosting provider, and providing it is a Linux-based platform, will be noticably cheaper than a Windows based platform).
2. Your speicific requirements of the form. What number of details do you plan to obtain via the form? Is one form actually going to be adequate? perhaps a multi-page reservation may be more friendly? do you plan to take online payment (in which case, you need to look at a SSL provider and some form of online payment facility)? Do you plan to retain personal details?
That is basically all you will need to assertain, what you need.
