Hi, guys!
Remember when Ryan was helping me with a top-secret project?
My part is almost done, so I'm opening the floor for critiques, comments, etc. Feel free to give opinions on the site structure and design as well as the copy, illustrations, and general content. If you encounter anything buggy, I would appreciate knowing which browser you're using to view (since it's rendered differently by each).
Note that since it isn't being actively marketed yet, the 100% W3C compliant statement on the front still needs to be verified on a couple of pages and the style sheets. Also note that the content is not for kids or for those easily offended (but it's not pornographic or racist or anything).

Thanks, everybody. I have little experience with web stuff and would like to know how to improve.

I think the site looks good. The only thing is on the rollovers the text disappears on Safari 1.2. The content is funny as hell although I didn't get to finish reading everything.
What is this a company?
Also the illustrations are great, you drew them up April?
The only thing I don't like is that it's a pop up site. You should just make it regular that way my navigation bars don't dissapear.

On the 'Communique' section: the bottom navigation gets cut off on my screen. This also happens in the history section. Because there are no scroll bars I can't get to the bottom to read unless I highlight the text and drag to the bottom. I think this may be due in part to it being a pop-up site.
It's looking good though!

I hate popups, it was better without them.
The red part of the nav goes down farther than the blue outline. The drop shadow on the nav looks too dark and a little weird because it starts to abruptly at the top. The bottom box gets cut off a little in IE6.
In IE6 the dropdown nav text only shows once you click and go to the other section. In Mozilla Firefox they show on hover and when you go to the section.

Thanks a lot, everybody. I will take the time to process tonight (definitely will take out the pop-up aspect) and fill you in tomorrow.
Thanks again.

April,
I'm a little confused as to what the product is that is being sold. Without really diving into the site your first impression is that its a site for finding out about the people that work somewhere. Why does the staff images come up first on the bottom? Why not the products that they are selling? Who did the staff icon images? They look great I love the detail and how they zoom. Very nice.
To the average person this site maybe a little confusing and a little troublesome do it is reshaping the window. If the site window is the last window to close then that is how your browser will look when you open it again. You should have an unload method in your body tag that restores the window just in case for the average user.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention. You should mention that its for adults ( at least that what web washer said to me when I tried to go there at work! ) That way I don't try to view that stuff at work.

I don't know if this was intentional, and I didn't see it mentioned in any of your posts.. but on your 'Dossier' page, the two images 'Left side' and 'Right Side'-- of the poster are surrounded by the default blue border. Maybe you forgot to set the border to zero? Maybe not, heh. Well, there's my .02

Hey... thanks, everybody. I still haven't made changes, but I will get to them this weekend.
In response to Axoi/Bill, the index page says right under the logo: 'This site is intended for adults (and mature teens)...' etc. Was it missed? Thanks for your input about products v/ staff...
I appreciate the comments.
Will get back to you soon.
:) April

April,
No I meant here on GDF. I didn't even make it to the index page. Webwasher just blew me out, saying that your meta tags on the index page contained keywords that we inappropriate.

She did say 'Also note that the content is not for kids or for those easily offended (but it's not pornographic or racist or anything). ' right before the URL in her first post.

i don't think axoi was offended, his web filter was. the fourth keyword is '****'--computers are dumb, they can't see it in context. that may hurt your results on many search engines(filtered). people who surf from work will probably not be able to have access to your page because of such language in the meta tags.
nice site :)
the only suggestions i would make is to have the nav menu appear less erratic, and lose the default blue borders.
also, as mentioned before, the bottom nav gets cut off in dossier and communique,
