Hi, I just happened to come across this forum while searching for a possible solution to a certain problem I have. I am in no way a graphics designer, but I am hoping that those of you who are can assist me.

My problem is that I have some images that were damaged. Avoiding the long and pointless story, the images were drawn on (I think in "Paint" with a brush) and now have blobs on them. Some blobs on some pics are larger and others smaller, but most of them are similar in size. One pic for example has a blob about 350 x 180 pixels where the original picture is 1600 x 1200 pixels.

Now I have no backup copy of these pictures and they are obviously irreplaceable as I took them myself. I was wondering if anyone would have any way of getting rid of the markings. I would really appreciate it as these are pictures that I really like.

I don't know if it matters, but the images are in JPEG format.

Thnx in advance

unfortunately, there is not likely very much that you can do, if there are no backups of the original.

you could always try to restore the missing part by copying it from a similar photo, if you have one. But once the pixels are gone, they are probably gone for good from the photo.

If anybody knows of any alternatives, please enlighten us.
