There are a ton of Fla residents on GDF vtwin :( Last year we had alot of hurricane threads bc there are so many Floridians here...and this year the season is suppose to be worse :(

Everyone be careful!

I'm in Ft. Lauderdale, but hopefully we won't be affected too much. Where in FL are you, Vtwin? Don't you just love living in the Cone of Death?

why don't you Floridians build your houses underground? Wouldn't that make them hurricaine-proof?

We have an aquifer not far below ground. That's why no Floridians have basements, either.

Or how 'bout an aerodynamic house? I don't see this house going any where in a hurricane no matter what its name is.

Most Georgian's don't have basements either..atleast not this far down in GA! LOL! Luckily my step sister in Atlanta did this past tuesday! A tornado touched down and wiped out some of their roof!

See...

Her, her husband, and all three kids were fine luckily.

Definitely time to batten down the hatches if you're down in the FLA.

Not to be a bugaboo, but shouldn't this be in the off-topic section?

there are alot of peopl still without power and there is still lots of damage but not at all what we thought it would bring the storm really fizzeled out in the end
the storm season is still young & we already have another brewing.
well i got alot of clean up & stuff still to do but i'll be back to normal in a few days.

we heard about some people that live in a trailor & evacuated but weren't able to take there kittens so.... right as the storm was about to hit we left & went & got the kittys.
they stayed with us untill there parents got home...
here they are, save and sound.
