Here is another idea (the other one (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9541)) of mine The corners would be rounded, yes i know that could be expensive so they might not but i have never had cards printed before.

I find the design much more successfull then the last.

Some suggestions:

The illustrations are well done.

However, they are becoming a major focal point.I become more interested in knowing what they all depict then reading your information.

Perhaps you could use one illustration and employ it in a way which the card utilizes it as an idenity.

The above modification would be much more accurate in communicating your message then having illustrations just to have illustrations.

General an unlawfully amount of illustrations on an business card is a bad idea. Be simple and to the point. One as an identity would work very well.

I would suggest using the first illustration on the left as it seems the most powerfull of them all. I can also easily tell that it depicts.

Furthermore, I would also rethink the color. The color is "blanding" out the card - in my opinion. I would find a more suited color that stands well in the design. Your colors right now remind me of a apple cidar mill or something - BORING-lol.

-just some thoughts

i agree entirely, definitely fix up your type also

My thought behind the illustrations was to convey my different capabilities, If i were to just put a single illustration in then people would only assume that i do one thing. So i guess i could decide to specialize but i am not sure i am ready to do that.

Ghelton...dont take this the wrong way but...

It is better to advertise that you do one thing well, than to advertise that you do a thousand things *not so well*

you are marketing yourself as a graphic designer, and am betting you have a lot of enthusiasm. The comments made by other proffesionals if considered will make you much stronger as a designer...or if like me will make yourself realise that you really do need to specialise in a different area.

I think that much work needs to be done yet, both in practice and theory

i like it... i'm not sure i even know what each of the icons represent, but i agree that they overpower the card. try & tone them way down or make "designs" more powerful
good luck.

p.s. rather than start a new thread keep all your ideas in one so new people can see the progress. at least edit this one & put a link to the first.
