Hello,
I am cleaning up an icon in Photoshop CS and want to work on the close up image and also see the image it's original size. I don't want ot have to zoom in and zoom out. Is there a way to view the close up image I am working on while also view another small screen with the image at its original size?
Also, anyone know of tutorials on how to clean up icons? I'm just doing it hit or miss at this point.

I would just make a copy of the file and leave it open while you are working on the one you have zoomed in on.
What tools are you using to clean the image up?

exactly what d said, just duplicate the layer, and turn it off and on whenever you want to (use the eye to the left of the layer) you could also save the doc as something different like .jpg or .tiff and just have it sitting open in another window next to the one your working on if that sounds better to you.

Try Window > Arrange > New Window for ... <-- it'll say the name of your active file.
You'll now have two windows open for the same file. Leave one window at 100% and zoom in on the other window. Everything you do to the zoomed in file will apear in real time on the 100% view. Hope that helps.

hrmmmm... I didn't know that.. thankee casedsgn.
I usually use 'ctrl +' and 'ctrl -' to zoom in and out. It's a lot quicker than using the zoom tool.

If the image is small enough, you can just use the navigator window.
