I know how to make an image transparent in Illustrator, but uncertain how to do it in PSCS. Can anyone help me?

opacity is in the layers pallette (top portion of the pallete)

Or you can open a new image and set the background to transparent. Then you use the layers to place/draw objects above the transparency. Then anything you delete will be transparent.
