Kitchen tools ad

I did this about a year ago, but am working on refining it for my portfolio. Thoughts?

I'm having a lot of trouble turning it into an effective advertisement (I hate doing ads). I'm open to suggestions. I considered illustrating an "older" kitchen into the background, but didn't think I could pull off the correct scale and make it obvious that the kitchen items were outdated.

you realy need to change the bg and the typo, now youre wasting your quite nice illustration.

i noticed the drop shadow of the big spoonie thing in the middle, is more feathered than the other shadows which have more crisper lines.
What if you changed the hanger to a wooden look??

you need to tell me more, like where do I find them or how to find more about them possibly

or you might want to drop the logo down closer to the bottom

There are some more things you need to tighten up also. Like where the head attaches to the handle. The third one is a little off, and the egg beater is off to the left. Oh, also you need to add shadow in the gaps of the the strainer and the last spoon. Where it is cutout you should see shadow and not just the lower left.

I think you need to change your tag line. Something that relates better to the illustration.
Here's some ideas:
"Check out our new line up"
"Tools of the trade"
"Cook's utility belt"

Thanks for the suggestions, Mynock. You've given me some good ideas. I'm thinking of the "cook's utility belt" version, I can illustrate them into a toolbelt on a guy wearing jeans or culinary-esque pants.

besides the things that others have mentioned the one thing that really bothers me is the company name on each of the utencils. it looks fake, it needs to be contoured around the handles & toned down. good luck & keep us informed.
