Cool. A bit image heavy. The site could really benefit from the use of stylesheets. It takes a while to load :/

The fancy dog training logo is wonderfull.

Anyhow...

Site design wise I am digging everything but, the illustration of yourself. I just don't find it to successfull from a naturalistic stand point.

good job though

Hey Robot

First off let me say I love the color scheme, it had the feeling of being classic or ecletic. You are building a nice brand for yourself as well. The first splash page is fun, and sets a feeling of creative whimsical amusement.

Many pieces of the site I found myself looking at twice instead of skipping over. Your picture on the about page...hilarious and bold.

The portfolio...we're presented with a bunch of cropped thumbnails, not knowing what is what we need to click through them and simply see. I think its bold not to seperate them into catagories such as "Logo" "illustration" and such, but overall sucessful because people need to click on the thumbs to see what ya got.

As a designer I think you are at a very good level for having just gotten out of school, and I think your time with your employer will be well spent seeing as they have a very strong brand for you to play with.

Great job on the resume and bcs as well, not the same old cliche we see all the time.

Areas to improve...I really dont see anything in the layout to improve upon...I think basically its all about content now. And staying true to your style as a designer. Maybe dabble in flash a little...your initial splash page has the look of potential to have a little animation (subtle) animation. And if you want more corporate clients maybe look into some logo and stationery design

What drorain said ^ but better and more. :) My only suggestion: I see your site has a sillyness to it, I would stretch it a bit more to that sillyness end. Make it more silly. But please don't show pictures of helmets filled with rainbow colored mancream.
