Here is a logo my business did for a gospel quartet....

I like this, I like the three stage laminated look to the text. Good old Algerian, it works here though. I hope there is a simple black and white version around. About the only things I would change is to get rid of the glow on the text and move the cross in just a tad so it's not touching the border. But it looks good as is.

I too like it. you know what would be cool if you can make the Woodsmen part look like it's was burnt into the wood.

I agree. For the 'wood' version, if you can emboss it, that would look awesome.

Also, I would adjust where the 'cross' is placed on the N. I would put it 'within' the N instead of above.

This is a very cool concept but you could take it up a notch with a inset emboss on the text, now that would be sweet, real sweet.

I like parts of it, but am not sold with the wood image as part of the 'logo'. I really like the notes art on top, combined with the text. It makes a better sign than logo IMO. If they are going to reprint the logo on b/w fliers for instance or on cards, it doesn't work...I guess maybe the drawing enlarged combined with the font..no highlights/shadows. If you want to add color, maybe change the color of something in the image.

the cross tells alot about the quaret but... it looks to much like a T "woodsment" i had to look twice
i also do not like all the black on either side of the word quartet if that were a different font you could fill that space a bit more.
