Hello - I'm new here, so I apologize if this has been discussed.

We had an issue the other day in Quark 6.5 where the designer had drop caps set in a paragraph. We looked at the font size and it said 100%.

Now I pretty much work in photoshop and illustrator. I know my way around Quark pretty well, but had NO IDEA why the font was set at a % rather than 35 pt for example.

Any idea why? Any help would be great.

peace.

I've never seen that in Quark. This may be an obvious question, but are you sure that the drop caps were a font and not placed art ... which can of course be at 100%?

yeah I am absolutely sure that the text is NOT placed art - this is why I thought it so werid.

I'll let you know if we figure it out.

Being the Quark hater that I am, I would say 100% sounds about right...100% no idea what that means.
Sorry, just couldn't walk past an open door like that one.
