Today I had my first complaint about the digicam we use... it does not have a manual focus, and the suto focus didn't want to work with this little guy. I must have taken about 60 photos to get a few that came out well.
BUT, these ones look pretty neat! :D

Mantes are the only insects I really like, aside from dragonflies.
Interestingly enough, they both have that crazy eye thing going on.

awesome pictures morea!...shoulda been at my house last weekend...whilst doing yardwork a baby mantis crawled down my neck!...a picture with a 1000 screams!...lol....not long after, grabbed some leaves to prune and dear old daddy mantis scampered up my arm!....i don't mind holding them in my hand and being up close and personal with these guys, but i really do like being prepared for such things, ya know?!?...eek!
