We have 3 job openings in our graphics design dept. These are entry level positions but you will have support staff. You will be working directly with the Creative Director in developing t-shirt graphics for all areas (see my gallery http://hhoj66.deviantart.com/gallery (http://hhoj66.deviantart.com/gallery/) for current t-shirt graphic examples). We are a clothing retailer with 70 stores nationwide. Our office is located in Long Island, NY, USA. We offer our employees full medical, dental, and vision plans. Job Description:
Under the overall direction and direct supervision of the Creative Director, develop and execute apparel related graphic designs that achieve overall product strategy and departmental objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
* In partnership with Creative Director, develop and visualize design concepts for a given season.
* Perform research of seasonal trends, themes and concepts.
* Communicate design concepts to overseas office design staff for creation of graphics.
* Manage on a daily basis all outstanding design projects throughout the approval process.
* Collaborate with Creative Director and Merchandising Departments to achieve project execution and maintain design integrity.
* Develop understanding of business goals and assortment strategies.
Qualifications:
* Degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience is great but not necessary.
* Basic knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
* Should demonstrate high taste level and creative ability
* Must have exceptional presentation and organization skills
* Must be extremely detail oriented
* Must be a team player
* Should have strong listening skills and the ability to assimilate creative feedback
* Must have the ability to prioritize and manage a workload with multiple deadlines
* Must demonstrate proactive thinking and problem solving ability
* Must have the ability to research and visualize new trends
* Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
