I created BC's for a college, cards I've done numerous times before, never a problem until today..
I set the cards, just text, (AGaramond) - after proofs were ok'd, I opened up the file again to send to print and all the text is in gibberish ???????
I rebooted but it didn't fix the problem.
Anyone know what caused this and if it can be fixed without having to reset all these cards again?
UGH!

What Kind of computer and OS? It could be a font conflict. However jibberish sounds a little different than a font conflict.
Does it print ok? It sounds like a font issue, we had the same problem when we switched over to OS X. I think we fixed it by taking individual fonts out of their suitcases.

Running osx now for over a year - been doing these cards forever. Funny thing is in this work order, there were 16 cards being issued. (runs about that per order) so I created a master page a while back for the layout. But the master page layout looks just fine.
I attached 2 files. 1 is the gibberish - 2 is the Master page

looks like your font might have defaulted... have you tried selecting the text and re-applying the font?
Oh wait I remember how we fixed it - a program similar to this: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22795
I will search around for a freeware version :)
*edit* This is thee one we used I think http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Utilities/Font-Cache-Cleaner.shtml

Morea, yes, tried changing the font then back again, all it does is change font, it won't convert back to "English".
Still curious as to what caused it or how it can be fixed. I painstakingly reset all of them again but I refuse to close the file until it's been "ok'd" a second time. LOL!

MD... I have Font Cache Cleaner. I used that but it didn't work. Like I mentioned above, I reset all the cards again - using the same font... actually, I just resaved the same document - deleted the pages, kept the master and created new pages. The font looks fine (but... afraid to close it).

You probably need a pretty fast computer to do it all in the same minute.
