self identity???

l I am having no luck with this identity thing.. of my own.

Anyhow, everyone I have came up with literally... sucks... in my opinion.

So I totally started from scratch yet again and here are some of the concepts I have been thinking about.

I looking for the concept behind the design to be interesting and somewhat ingenious.

So here are some of the concepts I have been sketching out.

For the "slogan" I was thinking something around the lines of personality squared( with a 2 instead of the word)... something like that... i don't really know yet. Since, this concept is in the early stages.

At the moment these are just rough idea nothing technical yet.

Just trying achive a strong concept/idea right now.

I think the ion design concept is the strongest, i really like it. the "ion(d-eye)sign" logo and the one closest to the bottom on the left side are your strongest IMO, that bottom one caught my eye right away. I would lose the arrow though because it isn't adding anything to it. Great job!

The arrow is an intended pencil lead... like a hand drawing... thats what I was going for.

However, I might get rid of it now that you say its worthless...lol.

I was thinking about this to.

Currently thats what I am going about.

However, if I can't figure out a way to make it work without to much going on then I'll simply use it in the web design or something... some how.

i like the eye/d logo but i only like it with one of them. when you add the other eye/b it looks like a mean face. i like the bottom center but think the word design (just the esign part) is to small & a little to light. also try it with ion & esign grey with a black eye/d

I agree with vtwin - your logo looks cross eyed and angry.

I'm just not feeling it. It doesn't grab me by the ears, shake me, and say "I'm a cool design", but that's just me. I the idea of using "ion" for "eye one" is clever, but I feel it can be done better.

I think you may want to get a whole new eye on there,,..whoa was that a joke??? nahhh I really like the concept. I just think the eye IS mean or it is not roung enough ..or enviting enough..or something
maybe you should try incorporating a face ( line art) with another prospective on the 'eye".......or make it more subtle,, just ideas:omk

I am liking 1,2; ion. Although it doesn't meet your "interesting and somewhat ingenious" concept in the slightest (and is similar to many logos of recent years), it is the strongest and most professional of all your logos. You can consider making the font unique somehow though, to give it an edge, although it is looking fine as it is.

Unless you are planning on being a cutting edge media force, I'd consider a strong and clear logo like that, over trying to force an ingenious logo - these come in their own time I think, especially when it is your own identity, lol.

3,1 variations work okay (a little evil as somone pointed out), but i consider it to be very similar to Iomega, in my opinion.
