Hey, my name is josh im not that new to photoshop I did alot of photog work for my highschool newspaper and annual that mostly consisted of potograph editing(digital darkroom stuff!). I'm just now getting into more aspects than just working with photos in photoshop.. I'm trying to get jreeter.com up, photography is something I love.. I go in for a interview tomorrow for a promotional marketing company, hope I land it! I created a new DA account http://jreeter.deviantart.com , dont have much on there right now..

I'm sure I'll have alot of questions for you all!

Welcome to the forums, Josh. Just so you know, it's usually pretty slow here on the weekends, so don't be disappointed if you don't get a lot of response until Monday.

Thanks Josh, the work as actually me and my boyfriends stuff. His is the cool stuff, mine is the cute stuff. We don't use illustrator for illustrations strangely. Drawings are drawn on paper, scanned and coloured in photoshop. Best way to learn to draw, is by observing and drawing. It's pretty simple! Gets better with practice. Upside is you take a pad and pen with you and you may find yourself getting addicted!

You two do great stuff! I dont really have a scanner, however I do have a wacom pad, how do you go about coloring your drawings? Do you just layer it? Or do you use some sort of selection marquee, They seem very vector-ish...

wow, that's interesting. I would have just assumed it was vector work as it looks so clean. I like a lot of it! What made you decide to use photoshop for this kind of art?

I bring it into Photoshop because I draw by hand onto paper. I'm not exactly going to take it into illustrator am I?

My boyfriend doesn't have illustrator on his computer. I think he'd be great at it, but not yet anyways...I do some illustrator stuff, but I find it so much easier and faster to draw with a pen.
