    Hello everyone,

I actually made my username because I literally own a white rabbit, then I realized it was a good Lewis Carol reference. Then the subject line of my intro wrote itself.

Seriously, though, I am curious about the world of graphic design. I quite literally know just about nothing about it as a profession. I am currently working as an RN in the hospital setting. I'm in a good place in my life right now to consider a change, and there's only so much the Bureau of Labor Statistics is going to help me when it comes to the real life nitty gritty of a job. I'm looking forward to any experience and insight I can gather from professionals in the field, and you guys seem like a good lot

    Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome! You found a grand, if slightly crazy, place.

    White rabbit... nurse... sounds a lot like the avatar image I used during the Easter season! :-}

[edit] I'm not a nurse, I just play one in Web comics.

I'd think Buda, who's a rabbit enthusiast too, ought to arrive soon.

Welcome fellow rabbit enthusiast. Glad to meet your acquaintance! There are a few bunny people on these forums. They breed like rabbits and such

I am good friends with a tofu coloured rabbit named...Tofu. He's the dashing fellow in my avatar.

We ask all new members to read the threads posted HERE and HERE. They explain how the forum runs, the rules, frequently discussed topics and our inside jokes.

"While the laughter of joy is in full harmony with our deeper life, the laughter of amusement should be kept apart from it. The danger is too great of thus learning to look at solemn things in a spirit of mockery, and to seek in them opportunities for exercising wit."

A big thank you to the warm reply from those who have responded back so far! (And somewhat surprised, but very happy, to find other bunny-people).

Buda; I just recently lost my mini-lop who looked quite a bit like Tofu. I miss that little guy. My other rabbits have all been dwarf mixes. I just have my white bunny, Snugglesworth, left now. He's full of a lot of 'tude for 3 pounds of bunny, but I love him.

lol. I think in metric. Is Snugglesworth's 3 pounds a big or a small bunny?

Tofu last weighed in at a hefty 2.5 kilos!

3 pounds = 1.4 kg, so pretty small compared to Tofu!

                        lol.

The vet said that Tofu could stand to lose 1 kilo. I can't imagine that kind of weight loss on a rabbit, but I guess a 1.4kg rabbit would be Tofu's "goal weight".

My rabbit is not a pure dwarf, but some kind of mix. He's still considered to be pretty small.

(That being said, he's had his periods of being fat and skinny, he has the Oprah Syndrome. At his worse he is the shape of a sphere, poor guy)
