  • Not Another "Hi" Thread!

    #1
Ok, just kidding, it's another hi thread

My name is Mike, I live in Maryland (US). I do IT work and on the side I do graphic/video design and editing, and website design/development/admin.

I've been playing around for awhile now, I've got CS6, Vegas Pro, Cyberlink PD 10, and a couple small utilities. I do my web designs in Photoshop, code them in Dreamweaver, and do photo/video editing and composition with PS, AE, and PR. Vegas Pro and Cyberlink are for smaller/quicker jobs

Anyhow, I'm here looking to solidify what I do know, and learn some stuff that I don't. See ya'll around the forum!

Virgo...I indeed just spent the last 20 minutes of my life learning about artichokes, pancakes, bits of string, evil corn, and of course the other lesser topics like code of conduct and such

Welcome. You can never get those 20 minutes of your life back. I'm sorry. We should have warned you.

It's unfortunate that most of those inside jokes are rarely brought up these days. But in case you ever wander through the archives, you'll at least know what we're talking about.

I'm wondering if we should update some of those inside jokes to include such gems as TheArtist being the perpetual n00b beat-on.

A staff member should be appointed to the position of "GDF Terminology Manager". Just saying.

We did have a GDF librarian. Actually, we still do, she's just a little busy with meatworld life these days.

Not if one is trapped inside, then it's a strangulated fatal priapism

I'd look into combining GREP with variable data input. Not sure you can make it work but it might be easier to blind format the junk you get into something that works pretty well in InDesign.

Well, InDesign can't think on its own, somehow knowing what text to format with a given character style; UNLESS it's always the same text, or there are certain recurring character pattern-hooks; in which...
