What makes a eye catching objective on your resume? Does anyone have any examples that they've seen that were clever and such?

An objective is kind of a sales pitch.

Use it to sell yourself to the company, let them know what you can do for them. Research "sample resume objectives". Try to keep it short and sweet. Everything else, it should be on a coverletter (coverletters should be no more than 2 pages, resume 1). OH! and dont forget to direct it to the specific career field, or generalize it. No more than 1 sentence, if you can help it. A good laid out resume, cant always get you the job.

A well done resume, coverletter, references, porfolio (if needed), and confident interview. Dress professionaly at ANY interview, even if they wear jeans, it lets them know you'll take your job seriously, and shows your professionalism.

Try this: when turning in the resume/coverletter (only), DONT put: porfolio and references upon request. Let them ask for it. BUT do have them with you.

And always, be confident about yourself and abilities. Dress professionaly even when calling about jobs. If you are in your underware, its as if they could tell.

I had a 1 day turn around from being R.I.F. (Reduction in force) from a job, to getting hired on to a new one.

Hope that helps. (a little more than you needed/asked for)

    **EDIT**
By the way this is what my resume objective says:

OBJECTIVE: To obtain a drafting or graphic design position where I can contribute my creative, observant, computer, quick learning, and leadership skills.

It has been ok'd by multiple colleges and Utah employment center career service people.

A little trick I use when writing in general is Microsoft Word's "synonym" feature. Highlight a word and right-click. On the menu there should be a selection that says synonym. Quite often you can find a word with a similar meaning that is more evocative or appealing. No I didn't use it on this post. I am capable of sounding less than retarded without it.

Yum. I do love salmon sandwiches. The bakery near me do great smoked salmon bagels. It's not a bagel shop so they don't jack up the prices.

Today I had leftovers. Chorizo and...

It won't stay this way ... but, they have to get all the bugs worked out first and then we will worry about cosmetic issues

Yes, I plan to have about 8-10 projects, many taking two pages (single side). the price break for the printer was at 25 sheets, so that's what I was going with. I haven't laid anything out yet as I've...
