  • Movie idea tidbits.

This thread (like Comic Con) could be free low hanging fruit for the film industry.

Ever have tidbits of movie ideas that you don't have time or the patience to develop? Here's one of mine: They made a movie out of CBGB's early years. Now they should make a movie out of The Troubadour's early years.

My tidbit is a casting call. They could have Selina Gomez play Linda Ronstadt. And Kyle Mooney (with facial hair) could play Glenn Frey. I'm certain I'm not the first person to notice the resemblance.

    What do you think?

The film industry wouldn't recognize a new idea if it up and bit them.

There are two books I'd love to see made into movies.
    One is Don Pendleton's Cataclysm
The other is Andre Norton's The Star Man's Son (or Daybreak 2250 A.D. depending on when you bought it.)

William Gibson's Neuromancer. Gibson is long overdue for film adaptation.

I don't pay for these kinds of things either.

Mocked-up comps are always useful when showing clients what their work will look like when finished, but a paid subscription to dozens of options...

This is actually a pretty good example of why a photoshop artist needs to know how to draw.

I wouldn't pay for a subscription to any free-stock site. The quality is often not there, to begin with.
Plus, with mockups, for the price of credits, you buy quality pieces as you need them for...
