  • Favorite website?

What is your favorite website these days, style wise?

    Mine is theoutline.com

I really like the boldness of it all on how seemingly simple and fun the content is presented.

I hadn't seen that site before. At the very least it's different, which is a definite plus in today's world where half the sites on the web look as though they've used a variation of the same Wordpress template.

I don't have a favorite site per se...
Design-wise or otherwise. They all look the same. Even that site of yours reminds me of bad instagram photos.

I don't have a favorite website, but I especially dislike sites like the one you linked. Even if I did instantly know what the site was about "Who will survive in America? Who will survive in America? Who will survive in America? Who will survive in America?", It takes a little to long to obtain any relevant information. I guess I've gotten so used to news feed type sites that I've gotten really impatient.

Style-wise I guess It's decent, but I think I'd much rather read a list of links/headlines and click on the ones that pique my interest than scroll through pages with 1 or 2 headlines per section, and even on a site like CNN or Fox news (biases aside) I could literally get just as much information without scrolling at all.

My "favorite site" is any e-commerce vehicle that works in a straightforward way, allowing me to make a purchase or a return without getting into some entanglement or other. Cliché perhaps, but Amazon seems to have it ironed out fairly well.

Almost all my non-business web browsing is done on a smartphone, so I rarely get all caught up in analyzing "site design" these days. If theoutline.com is typical of what's going on in site design, I'm happy to stay away from the desktop. It's obnoxious.

Thx for the clickbait - I was expecting something new and interesting but I've seen a lot of sites like that even from template sites. At least they will have some more visits in their log.

I couldn't find anything special in theoutline.com (this is my personal view). There are so many website other than this which are having good in terms f content, design, UI etc.

It's just what I call it when people use an expression that actually says or means the opposite of what is intended; ''could care less'' would be another prime example.

That makes sense, I guess. Off is the inverse of on, which makes based off the inverse of based on. Got it. ...

Okay, I know what a colloquialism is, but what is an inverse colloquialism?

Probrien, in addition to HotButton's comments, which I agree with, the ad is a bit confusing. Maybe it's lacking...

''Based off'' is inverse of ''based on.'' ''Based on'' is a colloquialism.
                                I think.
