  • Photobucket disables 3rd party photo sharing for free accounts

I just got a notice that Photobucket will be disabling my 3rd party sharing (ie embedding images in blogs etc) Apparently it has already happened for many users across the internet. The only pay account they have that comes with this ability is $399.00 a year. If you haven't been notified you will. I can't imagine how many blogs or forums with instructional material will now be worthless.

I saw this, too. It'll remove every image I've ever posted in this forum. Sucks.

Every once in a while you hear about this happening. It's inevitable. Your photos either vanish, vanish behind a pay-wall, or services become limited.
It's always something to consider when using free online services of any sort. Or even paid services. What happens if you stop paying?
