• DOES ANYONE RECALL THIS COMMERCIAL?

    #1

I'm trying to remember who the manufacturer/company was that put out a commercial about a year ago that had a certain design style I am trying to replicate. the commercial was all in red tones, very graphic, almost looked comic booky.

it showed a hip young man driving in his car through an urban landscape, he pulls up to his city "loft" building and then we see him open the door to his loft apartment, his dog greets him, he says something like "hey boy" and he jumps over the couch puts his feet up picks up a remote and starts to watch tv...music comes in, end commericial. also had that starbucks commercial type treatment, little detail, very monochromatic. anyone have any guesses?

It's a great tv spot for Target. I'm not absolutly positive on the firm that did it, but I think it was "design guys".? They may have used something like flix to vectorize the video?

      yeah... that's a great ad!!!

Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?

All of those target ads are great in my opinion. One of the best ads I've seen on TV lately is for that Axe body spray stuff. It was a stop frame animation type of thing with a really grungy, earthy, organic look. It ended up with a guy dieing and rotting and the maggots that eat his body are attractive to other maggots, and I think two maggots actually form a heart shape. Sounds really weird, but the visual style was excellent. Anyone recall the ad I'm talking about? I was actually shocked that the client allowed it to be aired on TV because it doesn't seem like it would appeal to everyone.

I remember that jason. It was two worms that make the heart. Was wierd, but well done.

I like new corvette commercial with the two kids driving corvettes. Very cool.

Target ads are cool, but they certainly don't show ya what it's like to work there!

That Axe commercial you guys are talking about is excellent...haven't seen it in a while, maybe they've stopped showing it. The one where the chick bangs the old dude, and then he dies, and then the worms/maggots that feed on his body in the ground get it on...someone was smoking something when they thought that up.

the axe commercials are 'linx' commercials, but with the product name switched. it's the same thing, but uk. i think the uk firm does all their international advertising - not being funny, but it'd have a lot to do with the 'qurikiness' if they did. and if they don't, then the us firm is definately taking their lead from the euro campaigns.

hey there, all you limey gdf'rs: anyone know the ad firm that works on the linx campaigns?

same as axe, only a different name. like, snickers in the uk USED to be 'marathon', or 'oil of olay' was 'oil of ulay'...just a different product name - same product, same ads. different name. so, over there it's 'the linx effect'.

I'm pretty sure the 'Lynx' ads are done by Bartle Bogle Hegarty.
                          They are very cool ads.

Good points, although I'm unsure how to correct this without starting it all over from scratch and scrapping the whole idea. I'll have to think about it.
