Planking is a recent internet meme. Here are some planking pics.
Stocking is a new meme where folks replicate stock photo images for fun.

From some random site I found:
To play, all you have to do is find a stock photo of somebody doing one of the mundane things that are featured in stock photos, and then try to replicate that pose as best you can. The blog Stocking Is the New Planking is the official clearing house for these images of imitation, a few of which you can check out below.

This ironing one cracks me up...

Ah, thanks, gotcha. Basically flag-pole-sitting and phone-booth-stuffing for the 21st century.

They showed Stocking on the CBS Early Show this past weekend as the latest trend. Once they do that the trend should be over. too much time for some people.

well, I actually did hear about it before that.
but they way they were talking about it and how cool it was.

                  you could add:
Day 360 - Day your parents start to mention it and show photos of themselves doing it.

My best guess would be some sort of extra-bold version of Optima, like an Optima Black italic/oblique.

Not sure about style but they are just normal wear patterns you want to laser on the jeans (cool process btw).
As for doing them in Photoshop...my question to you is...

I just don't understand your reasoning for everything, especially on this latest card. Why the random shapes bleeding off the edge? Why is there so much space between your name and the "web, print,...

                            Which Gerber software?
Next question, why not import from Adobe to Gerber. We use signwares often. For output. Rarely for design (though some things are far easier to do in sgnwares over Illustrator...)

I do not believe there is Blur to Halftone button in Illustrator.
Any time I want to do a vector halftone (with dots), I use Rasterbator (bad name, good program)
But maybe what you are wanting...
