Let's face it, robots are friggin awesome. Discuss robots.

Actually just saw this video online and was intrigued

    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-205_162-...flexible-robot

Study into "flexible robots" that's pretty the cool the applications would be amazing in terms of artificial limbs or other things.

Robots are cool though. Post robots.

That looks like the swiss-army knife of robots.

Speaking of which... I need to get me a leatherman.

Ha ha ha a swiss army robot would be amazing!

This is a Robot I saw on a documentary a while ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3C5sc8b3xM

      It's fantastic!

And they make Robot snakes! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJuNe50uuzk

I would definitely get about 200 robot snakes to guard my house if I was on holiday. How amazing would it be for a burglar to be confronted by 200 robotic Pythons!

                Or STEEL!

I think Robocop was the first film I saw with a Robot in it? Or was it Short Circuit?

                I don't remember half of these? http://listverse.com/2008/08/01/top-...ots-in-movies/

Although come to think of it Star Wars might have been the first I saw a robot in movie!

For your robot identifying pleasure: a poster featuring a whole crapload of robots from tv, film, and video games. Picture link. This was part of a contest.

And here's a link to the answers.

pfft Bishop is heaps better than Ash.

And where the hell is Robocop? or for that matter, ED 209?

The Gunman from Westworld deserves a mention too.

Agree with Maria as no 1 though. The fact that someone could come up with a robot that cool 80 years ago still blows my mind.

                        Yeah! Robots!

That's robotial profiling! That's illegal in the future. He's half machine - half human. Although he was created in the lab he's known as "selectron tube" baby.
