She replies: Oh okay, if you can ask them to save it as an Illustrator file that would be great.

Yes... because there is a magical save button that converts it to any file format... What's this? an .MP3? Sure... I'll just save it in Photoshop as a .JPG and the magical save button will convert the music into images!

JDB: Huh? No, um see, to be honest -- I was just hoping you could give me some tips on how to make things, well... a little more 'exciting' for me and my girlfriend.

LADY2: Ooh... good things 'come' in threes. But it's gonna cost you extra, son. Where's your lady friend now?

JDB: No. See, I just want a few pointers on how to do this on my own. I mean, I've got this... [SFX: 'Zzzzzzip']

LADY1: Well! I might be able to put together somethin' for you hon, and throw in a few pointers on the side. Cash or credit?

JDB: No, you don't understand. Just tell me how to do this, 'like a pro'. I mean, it can't be that hard, can it?

    LADY1 and LADY2 exchange glances.

LADY2: Hard or not. You wanna learn from the pros, you gotta pay the teacher.

Whoooo! Friday!! About time! this week has sucked!

Great line up there Kool! I love it. And when you write that book...I expect a signed first edition

Today, I'm outta here early. Boss man is off to Mexico for the next 2 months this weekend, so today we're doing our "christmas party" by which he means, we get to leave at 11:45, go for lunch, have some drinks (on his dime) and take off at 3. He was even kind enough to tell us "You're not expected to return to work after the lunch." How kind of him eh? He must be Santa

Not much for big plans this weekend. Some christmas shopping tomorrow, but that's really about it. Otherwise, lots of relaxing and taking it easy. This may be the last weekend we get to do that for the remainder of the month.

Have a great weekend everyone! Stay safe out there, and remember, before doing anything crazy, ask yourself..."Will I get a good story out of this?"

I am so glad it's Friday, yet dreading that Friday isn't over yet. My husband has been working his *ss off on a project for a charity auction. The timeline was so tight he shouldn't have agreed to do it, but he did. He's building a dog-themed motorcycle for a local dog rescue winter gala event - tonight. As of last night he was still waiting for the motor before they could do final assembly. The shelter had said they were going to keep the project quiet and make it a surprise auction, but we found out yesterday that they've already sent out press releases, with my husband's name all over them. Now he's freaking out about it not getting finished and him being blamed for all of it, when it is a huge group project depending on a lot of volunteers and donations (many of which flaked out).

If the bike gets done, I have a 'cocktail attire requested' event to attend this evening. If it doesn't get done, I'll have a depressed husband to comfort. I don't know which is worse...

So I'm looking forward to 24 hours from now.

This I can't wait to see. I may just pull a barcalounger up to your driveway and watch.

ohhh pretty vintage dresses. Love those.

I'm dying tired today and I"ve been dragging all week long and a 4 hour photo shoot yesterday just about killed me. (our make-up artist was late by over an hour, the shoot was supposed to take 90 minutes, she wasn't even done making up our second of three models by the time the shoot should have ended). Ugh.

I can't wait to just do nothing. Sit in my chair, sleep, read, stitch, make bracelets or poke Bladez.
Oh... and get pesky xmas presents done and dealt with.

Shouldn't that be the other way around? ... unless you two are into that whole role reversal thing, then pretend I never said anything...

Taking the little one to get a picture with Santa, shopping and an extended family get together.

Is it just me or does the whole photo op with Santa thing seem a little weird... I mean, in reality you're getting a photo of your kid sitting on the knee of a bearded stranger dressed in a red velvet/pomeranian fur suit.

December-busy starts tomorrow. TWO plays put on by daughter's college theatre program (she's studying technical theatre production) tomorrow: Rent, followed in the evening by 'Love's Labour Lost'. A whole day of theatre! Looking forward to seeing both my daughter, and the shows.

Then Sunday my first chorus Christmas sing-out at the local senior's centre, followed by working on completing the big benefit concert's program for printing Monday, and for performance on Tuesday night!

And... it just gets nutsier from there. Lots of singing this year... have to write show script... poster.... a nice break from corporate poo-polishing though.
