Usually it's a combination of the ink dot pattern and the lam, not so much the stock. And won't you get silvering if you lam a matte stock? Or is it a real smooth matte?

    CMYK inkjet is notorious...

I have talked with them at length about it but that conversation is kind of lost on them. This is a side business that they "may" grow into something larger. But at the moment, they aren't focusing...

  • Tablet PCs

I'm looking for something portable. And I'd quite like a Tablet PC.

I'm not looking for iPads, or Galaxy Tab or other.

It must run either Windows or Mac - proper operating systems like Windows xp, vista or 7, or Mac OS (whatever version runs on macbooks and such).

It must have minimum of 4gb ram.

It must have an i3 or better processor.

I have been searching for a while. But can't really find anything suitable. Anybody seen or heard anything suitable?

The reason is very simple. I want to play a game but don't get enough time at home to play it.

So yeh - going to spend a small fortune on a device to play 1 game. Possibly do other things too.

(the game is mac and pc compatible).

    WOW?

I don't know of any tablet Macs, but I would suggest just biting the bullet and getting a MacBook.

    I have never owned a PC so I can't recommend anything PC-related.

      Not sure about that

Looking at around 10 inch screen. Touch screen. No keyboard.

Take out - turn - play.

      ^That sounds weird.

Should I wait for Windows 8? Or maybe next gen Tablets?

I will consider the macbook too.

What kind of graphic processing is required for the game?

AND how much hard drive space are you looking for? Right now the ASUS slate fits your requirements, It can be a tablet or a netbook style PC. It only comes with 64 or 32 GB hard drive though, so. But has Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Operating System and Intel I5 processor. (over-priced though)

I would honestly wait till Q2 of 2012 to buy a windows based tablet PC, when the software and hardware in development will released that are optimized to providing optimum power consumption and power for tablets and other devices.

Minimal - it's more a processing game. So would be more into the processing than anything else.

The i3 sandy bridge and up processors will handle the graphics that are there just fine.

Hard drive - minimal 32gb would be fine.

I'm not sure if they still do but I think it was IBM or Compaq who used to make a notebook that had a touch screen that pivoted and folded flat (hiding the keyboard). If I remember correctly it was a similar concept to the macbook air (not having a a DVD-r drive) but it had a base you could set it into that had all that hardware it was missing. Essentially a two piece notebook/tablet cross.

so is an iPad in your thoughts?

I have one...awesome. (or should that be magical?)

love reading news on it, editing photos (with Snapseed), Facebook, games, NFL and Amazon, etc.

if thinking of it as a possibility, hit me with any questions.
thought not sure if that is in your thoughts. Do you have a smartphone? (We have iPhones and apps are transferable so that REALLY helps)

It has to have a full OS of either Windows or Mac. Not a mobile os.

Thanks though, my brother has an iPad an I'm not impressed to be honest.

Man, this one looks pretty sweet. Little pricey, but that just means you have to shake down another leprechaun, right?
