We don't even consider applications that don't list a degree where I work, though even people with degrees can have terrible portfolios. Out of probably 30 applicants from our most recent opening, maybe...

Honestly, if you are unsure, it's better to under design. People who are new to design have this tendency to put everything they can think of into a design. Design is just as much about culling and restraint....

We have a $250,000 digital printer and the backups can be up to 2mm out. That is within specifications.

So the answer is no. It's near impossible to get a printer that is bang on. Which is...

Looks like it's not a free font. But $25 for four fonts in a typeface is really reasonable.

  • So did you all grab your XXX domain?

I think this whole fiasco is about the funniest thing I ever saw. Everybody except the porn industry is buying up all the domains and places like godaddy and such are raking in millions.

I even saw a commercial last night sternly telling everybody that they better buy up their name.xxx before "someone else does". LMFAO!

    What a scam.
This post is brought to you by the letter E and the number 9. Those are the buttons I push to get a Twix out of the candy machine.

But it sure could come in handy for my food porn and bacon porn empire...
It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" ľ Winnie the Pooh

I saw one of those commercials the other night, too. I wonder how many people have panicked and bought one so far?

Here's an article that explains it pretty well. http://www.cnn.com/2011/12/12/tech/w...ble/index.html

Basically, legit businesses that are concerned about their reputations are buying the .xxx versions of their domain names to keep them safe from actual porn producers buying them. GoDaddy is selling them for $99 as opposed to the $1.99-3.99 regular domain names, so they're raking in the cash.

the hilarious thing is my painting website is under my name, and there's a porn star with the same name. So the xxx will definitely be taken care of - it'll give my students and clients a little thrill and something to talk about.
