Reply to How to choose a scanner?

I agree, the Canoscan is a good scanner -- especially for the price. I've bought a couple of Epson Perfection V700 Photo Scanners for work, and would do so again if they're still made. They've been very...

What do you think of online schools? This one is only about $2,000 and you get a personal tutor to guide you and help you build a portfolio in the end.

    you're in Australia?
Can you find work with whatever a Certificate IV is and no government qualification?
Here in the US, with a one year course, you wouldn't qualify as entry level for most of the jobs out there now. Too many designers out of work.

I did not see one Production course offered there. 750 hours would only give you a brief overview. I suppose it's a cheap way to find out if you really want to study design.
