  • If you had 425 Million Dollars ....

    How would you spend it??

From Huffinton Post - I made one small adjustment to it

So who is buying a ticket???

We are getting one today ... 2 dollars and a dream lol

If I win ~ we are having a GDF all expense paid get together for sure!

Then I am disappearing for a while to my new tropical island with 24/7 pampering by lots of scantily clad pool boys. Especially a big blonde one whom I will call Sven

... or is that who? I never get that right. Maybe I'll invest in some English lessons as well

I'm not sure if our lotto is connected to powerball, but I noticed that the billboard for the jackpot said 425 mill this morning. My mom won $500 last week. I think I'm gonna waste a dollar on it tomorrow.

That's Powerball if it's 425 Mil. It's the biggest jackpot ever and growing as of now.

        ... it's 2 bucks for a ticket though

I was thinking about this driving home last night. Figure I'd take the 20 year pay out, hire an accountant and a lawyer, then hide from greedy family for a bit. We, I mean. Of course. *We* would do all those things. Ahem.

First thing I'd do is share mine with Kitch.

Then a castle with a moat, on an island.

              And a dragon.

I wouldn't change anything at all, except I would hire someone to follow me around everywhere I go and never say a word. And whenever someone says my name, they pull out an electric guitar and play a solo.

                I'm accepting applications.

I just want a house. A nice house that I can make crafty stuff in all day. If I feel like getting out of bed, that is.

And I'd buy my husband a bunch of guitars and keyboards and recording equipment, and build a studio for him in the house.

I'd set aside money for all my nieces' and nephews' college educations (and grad school for the niece that's already in college).

THEN I'd organize a big GDF meet up party with booze and bacon and boobies. And a vat of guacamole.

Realistically, we'd buy a new house closer to my mom. Then we'd buy land with a water source, trees, game, awesome Internet connectivity, a place to build our ultimate home, room for a very small farm (a few chickens, horses, piggies, ducks, stuff), a guest house and hopefully a cave (batman). We'd both quit working and spend our time getting the house built and land worked. The husband would get a huge garage/mechanics shop to keep him happy. We'd get more dogs. Take care of my sister's debt. New vehicles for both of us. Candy.

That dragon sounds pretty good, though.

If I seriously won .... I would have a house built to my specifications. Not a huge house ... but a big enough house for all my stuff and extra bedrooms for the nieces and nephew if they wanted to come over. An indoor/outdoor pool with a huge outdoor kitchen for parties. There would be enough yard space so I could finally have a few dogs. I know I would help my brother and sisters with their bills and set their kids up with trusts for college and beyond. I would take all those vacations I dream about but could never afford in this lifetime.

I would give back to all the charities that have helped me over the years, especially the ones when I was going through the big C.

I think I would become some sort of philanthropist and try to help little businesses get off the ground or keep afloat.

Lot's of ideas running through my head

I would buy a house as well. I want a little mid century cottage so that's what I'd go for. Then I would quit work and be a full time artist during my travels. Of course I'd do the friends and family thing and make sure they were never in a position to ask me to borrow money. After that, I think I would feel guilty having so much money with so many people being in such a bad way.

I would definitely participate in the Kiva loan program. I plan to do that as soon as possible anyway, but with $425 million dollars, I'd loan to every person on there! The Kiva loan program are loans that start as low as $25 to someone in an impoverished country so they can start their business. You are the lender and they slowly pay you back. With $425 million, it seems a lot of people could be served!

Pay off CCs, new house (more room), perhaps a new car (sure wife will want something newer), fix up or buy parents a new home, parents a new vehicle, in-laws a new vehicle since he's been eying one up but not ready to pull the trigger, some nice camera lenses, fancy new computer and maybe a couple iPads (since mine is used mainly by wife and son), get money into the hands of some good investments to help it continue to earn, donate to some worthy causes...

and take a nice trip around the world...after Disney where we are planning on taking Luke and his sister next year (so everything is still magical in his eyes). and shooting photos while on the world tour and making calendars, photo books, etc.

Oh, wait, I forgot, my wife already planned some things if she and her workmates win the group lotto pool. We will buy land and a make a Bed & Breakfast in Costa Rica and live there earning money from guests...apparently I will be the marketing guy and the chef.

I think I am getting a bit better with the pen tool, but let me know if you see where I can improve? Also, if there are areas to improve the illustration style, thanks?...
