reset tools illustrator 9

i need to know how to reset tools in illustrator 9.

here is what i'm doing: after using the rectangle tool, i go to effect> convert to shape> rounded triangle. then whenever i try to draw a regular rectangle i have to go back to effect> convert to shape> to change the settings to unround the shape. is there a command that will reset this option?
