Happy Friday! I'm going to have to go back and find some of these threads! LOL. How do I miss them? Is there a secret passageway to where all the good stuff is kept? It feels like high school all over again where I find out about all the parties on Monday. sigh.

            Happy Friday.
It's been a nice quiet July for a change. Too bad it's over so quickly. Why does the slide into winter never take as long as the slide into spring?

              Ain't that the truth!

Additionally it's been unseasonably cool so far this summer. We've only been in the 90s a few times. Tomorrow we're due to hit 99 in the afternoon, with a heat index between 105-115. Fun.

I also noticed this week that it's still dark when I get up. It's the blue hour by the time I leave the house, but winter is coming.

            Happy Friday Folks!

I just got back from a wedding on a fireboat!

The Old Man of the Sea married his Mermaid Bride surrounded by a bounty of family, friends, pirates, sea captains, water wenches, wharf rats and burly tug crews.

It was pretty magical, I gotta say.

Sketching not only helps you work out good ideas, it helps you get past the bad ones.

Oh lala, if your summer is ending, that means my winter is ending.

Amazing pirate mermaid wedding! I went to a pirate birthday party on a boat once but that doesn't even compare to a wedding. I hope you packed your sea legs!
It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" Winnie the Pooh

I have my sea legs permanently installed! Good thing too, I imbibed many signature 'tai-the-knot" cocktails onboard.
