CO passed recreational marijuana use LINK it can still get shut down since its not legal on a federal level but this is step in the right direction.

I'm not one to brag usually, but this morning I got two huge orders for glass from two shops in Colorado...

I suspect the snack food industry will see a rise in sales in Colorado.

once other states sees how much tax money they can bring in hopefully it'll sway other states. people are set in their ways and don't want to see a "drug" made available to everyone. people that use pot are going to and have used it regardless of the legalities. now the state can make something off it rather than spend money prosecuting and locking up people for using a plant.

ease up gramps. take a toke instead of that whiskey straight up, you might not be so grumpy every day

add me to the list Cosmo!!!

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Will the feds leave them alone? Will tiny border towns around the states suddenly become boom towns? What about the people in jail for possession of weed?

In Canada when they federally "decriminalized" mary jane it was for up to 5 grams. Anyone with previous charges, in jail etc. we're not grandfathered in. They'd broken the law of its day and that was that.

It's still illegal to sell the drug without a license that it's for medical use only (which is near impossible to get). So you can carry up to five grams, smoke it in your own home and that's about it.
It's not so much legal as it is laissez-faire.

Boy, Id be pissed if they kept me in jail for something that was now legal. I'd at least hope they go back and maybe revise the length of the sentences

I wonder how they handled it when Prohibition ended? That would be a precedent...
