Or whatever it is. My head is so stuffed up I can barely stand it. I'm afraid my sinus and ears may be getting infected. I guess I'll have to break down and go to the doctor even though I can't afford it.
This is a weird one. I don't feel particularly sick, just that my head feels like someone poured concrete up my nose. I get a semi stuffy head quite often and a couple store brand decongestant pills usually fixes me right up. Not this one though.
Things I have tried with some or no success...
Nasal spray
Saline spray, drip and squirt
The old head under a towel over a bowl of boiling water
Heat pad on my nose and eyes
Vicks up the nose.
Of all these the nasal spray works the best. It actually clears it out enough so I can breath but it only lasts for 30 minutes or so and you're not supposed to take it more than 4 times a day
Yeah I've had a bunch of phlegm too but it seems to be a byproduct of the sinus issues. Another thing I want to try is the head over the steamy water only adding some eucalyptus drops to the water. I have no idea where I could get any eucalyptus though.
Kool, you may be able to find some eucalyptus oil at a natural foods store, or someplace like Whole Foods.
My husband has been going through the same thing. Sinuses stuffed, sniffling, etc. The Afrin works great, but you're not supposed to use it for more than a few days.
That sucks. People have been getting sick in droves around me, but I've avoided it so far *fingers crossed*. I think the nose spray thing is that your body builds up an immunity to it and it stops working if you use it too often
I'm not familiar with a "netty pot". I have a small bottle of saline nasal spray, if you point it up it sprays, hold it horizontal you get a stream, hold it upside down and you get drops.
A netty pot is a saline water that you put in this pot and pour up your nose. It travels through one nostril and comes out the other side, carrying sinus gunk with it! I've used them before and they really work. Your sinuses should really, really clear up! It's basically sinus irrigation...just make sure you use distilled water. They are sold at drugstores.
I've got bronchitis! but seriously i'm just finishing up my meds today. seems like everyone and their turtles are sick around here. hopefully you're feeling better soon Kool!!
I think they spell it Neti pot. Like making tea, then pouring it up your nose.
Sorry about the ickies, Kool. Those nasal sprays can be addictive from what I understand, which is why they usually say only use them for 2-3 days in a row. Years ago my doc prescribed an awesome nasal spray that was non-addictive. I used it daily for probably two years. It works slowly, but really well. I think it was called Nasonex. But it got too pricey for me.
My husband uses the NeilMed sinus rinse religiously. His sinus issues have been rampant the last several years, and this has really helped minimize the symptoms.
I've volunteered to help design a badge for my sons new football (soccer) team. I've no formal training in design, but I'd like to be able to do this as if it was a proper job sent to a design company....
It has a wine label feel. The image is very faint. If it's a banner it might be better to separate image and type, to give it more substance. You're missing the chance to do a pens-leading-to-ramparts...
As is, the logo is EXTREMELY restricted on how it can be used. It won't work in 1 color and the detail on the castle is way too fine. If you're just slapping this on a website, I guess you'll be fine,...
I'm actually a fan of movie/tv show posters using a different style than how we would normally see them. But that being said, nothing about this says "zombie". If I never heard of the show,...
Welcome chan90!
Wacom tablets seem to be the brand of choice. Actually, I haven't heard of the other brand/model you mentioned. Just curious, if you haven't used a tablet before, what is driving...
