    Very clever.

    Absolutely brilliant.

Whenever I see something like this, I always wonder how the hell they came up with that idea. That is just too cool.

I'll bet that was hard to do.

As a side note, I doubt they run that billboard in England or Seattle.

Very cool idea... but it's blank on a cloudy day... seems like a waste.

I don't think it would be hard to make at implement at all. You could vary the heights based on the density of that particuluar pixel. Darker the pixel the higher the peg. You can easily make a matrix of where to make the circle and which goes where. At least that's how I would have done it.

Actually, that's the beauty of it. Most people see the same billboards near their homes or on their commute and quickly begin to ignore them, defeating their purpose.

That billboard on different days will catch the same person's eye and they'll see it and think about it multiple times, creating more of an impact for what product the billboard is pushing.

I understand that part of it... like I said I think it's a very good idea... but it seems like the county I live in is a black hole - it can be nice and sunny in the rest of the state but you cross that county line and it's over cast... I guess in a place other than where I live this billboard would work well... but I think people around here would start to ignore the blank white board (that never changes)
                        S.

Edit: I guess that's why I dont see anything that cool where I live, huh?

Hahah, I just noticed you're from Minnesota... As a former Minnesotan, I feel your pain.

But my current home, SoCal, is perfect for that billboard.

so does it only work right at a certain time of day, or does it work regardless, as long as the sun hits it?

If it is facing east/west, it should work all day.

As a set, they look good together, but they should be strong on their on also. They remind me of the Penguin Classics book covers designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith.
