  • DESIGN CHALLENGE for 03-07-06:

    Due to good response, I am starting up the "DESIGN CHALLENGE" thread! This is starting out as a daily (or almost daily) design challenge for you to come up with a quick "blue sky" idea to get your creative juices flowing.

    You should read the challenge, complete the task, and post your results for others to see. Then, you can get a look at what others do with the same project and maybe get a few comments on yours.

    (Based on response, we may shift this to a longer timeline and might add in voting later, but for now consider it a quick turnaround "sketch" to an idea.)

    TODAY'S CHALLENGE: Alfie's Turbans, Unlimited

    Challenge is open all day for MARCH 7, 2006. Do it, post it, GO!

    Alfie’s Turbans, Unlimited

    A startup in NYC selling specialty turbans. Designs include fantastic patterns, some with special pockets, MP3 players, and some with hidden storage areas. They also function as hair wraps, of course.

    Client prefers a text-based logo and tag line, or some business card-sized handouts.

    (NOTE: Get inspired, but don't rip people off. You are NOT expected to obtain copyright on anything, since it's not going to be used, so you have complete creative freedom. Companies or totally fictitious. Keep it fun!)

            It's either or...or both if you want.

            Text-driven logo with a tag line
            OR a handout the size of a business card. I'm thinking a miniature flyer, but it is meant to be open to your interpretation.

                  I did post suggestions, I just thought it should be done like a company starting up, logo, and stationery etc., then go to other projects outside that. The company you came up with is alright, just think it is a little out there, ok way out there, I mean turbans with storage areas, and taglines. I am game for competing when I have the time, just not a fan of this topic at all.
