  • One color to represent a department

    #1
What color would you use to represent "Intelligence". More specifcally the gathering of information about an enemy. Top secret stuff.

I wanted a cold slate gray scheme but also thought black would be ****. I also thought hot pink because it would have been hilarious to present to the client, but we decided against that one.

What do you think? What color would you use?

edit: looks like I can't say t i t s... how about "... but also thought black would be cool".

Right off the bat I think of black. I see the big TOP SECRET stamps in black and the black markers used to black out the lines of text in documents.

We are using red for one of the departments. This dept. is new and added last minute. The colors we are using already red, yellow, green, dark blue, aqua, a deep purple, orange, and a kick ass camo pattern (my personal fav, it looks awesome on screen). Each departments color works pretty well for what it is.

Black is looking good though. I might just stick with that.

For me, a cyan-blue color has always spelled "intelligence". Like the color shown by jellyfish, which studies are putting forth to be the most intelligent creatures in the water, communicating emotion and other things by color changes, in ways that we have yet to comprehend.

Perhaps my young impressionable mind has also been unwittingly influenced by Douglas Adam's mention of "a hyper-intelligent shade of the color blue".

              ^ the hooloovoo!

when you said "intelligence" I thought dark blue. When you said "gathering top secret info about the enemy" I thought black.

I ended up with a very dark brushed metal look. It works very well. The metal is very subtle.

Ecsyle, I was going to say 'gunmetal' myself. It's more classy than plain brushed metal.
                      I say 'good choice'.
